DMCA & Legal Notices

Last updated: 2026-07-09

This page explains how to send Aircaster a copyright (DMCA) or other legal notice, and what Aircaster is — and is not — so your notice reaches the right party.

What Aircaster is

Aircaster is a personal media-casting application for Android. As the Terms of Service set out, Aircaster does not host, store, or supply media content. Users are responsible for the sources and content they look up, play and cast, and for ensuring they are legally entitled to access it.

What we do operate is this website, the app's downloads, and the app's own service infrastructure. Notices about content we actually host or distribute — the site and the app itself — are handled here. Notices about third-party media should be directed to whoever hosts that media.

Where to send a notice

Email support@aircaster.app with the subject line “DMCA notice” (or “Legal notice” for non-copyright matters). Notices are reviewed by a person, and we act on valid ones.

What a DMCA notice must include

For us to act on a copyright notice, it needs:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
  2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it is located — a specific URL or precise description.
  3. Your contact information: name, and an email address (a postal address and phone number help too).
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices slow things down — we may reply asking for the missing elements before acting.

Counter-notices

If material you provided was removed in response to a notice and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. It must identify the removed material, include your name, address and contact information, a statement under penalty of perjury of your good-faith belief that removal was a mistake or misidentification, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or any judicial district in which Aircaster may be found, if outside the United States) and to accepting service of process from the notice sender, and your signature.

Other legal correspondence

Trademark, privacy, or other legal matters can go to the same address with a clear subject line. For questions about your own data, see the Privacy Policy — you can also just email us directly.
